"Balance is the result of two or more opposing forces of equal strength canceling each other and achieving equilibrium.  Balance, although it may seem uncomfortable at times, permeates my works; soft colors and symmetrical compositions are opposed by harsh manipulation of materials, such as torn edges and incised surfaces.  In a large scale sense, these pieces are metaphors of the relationship of Man, of intellect to matter.  They reflect the balance/out of balance dilemma of contemporary survival.  Balancing the discordant themes of chaos against order creates a kind of visual melody.  I think of my prints and paintings as visual music." - Bill Wheeler

Bill Wheeler has been creating limited edition original prints and paintings for public and private commissions since 1970.  He has also nearly twenty years experience working in collaboration with designers and architects to create site-specific installations.  His security -mounted wall constructions are made of masonite and/or archival plastics incorporating iridescent and metallic surfaces.

Wheeler is a versatile artist, able to accept and incorporate the client's suggestions and modifications into an installation that becomes an integral part of the interior space.
