Formal Garden In The Loire Valley

The Loire Valley is known for it's white wines and it's magnificent chateaus. A weekend getaway spot for Parisians, it is located south and slightly west of the city. Entrance fees helped to maintain these magnificent gardens conceived in another era. It had snowed just days before this mid April photograph was taken with Velvia film.
