Gaudi Apartments

Shot in Barcelona Spain in 1994 using Kodachrome 64 slide film, these three photographs were taken inside the stairwell on the top floor of the Casa Batllo apartment building designed by Antoni Gaudi in 1904.

A skylight provides natural illumination of the glass screen against the back drop of the exquisite tile work so typical of the exterior facades of Gaudi’s buildings. The wood interior window and door frames are characteristic of the period in which the apartment was built.
