Jim Herr
While growing up, Jim Herr's favorite day of the week was the day Life magazine arrived. Even before he could read its stories, the day of its arrival he would pour through its pages upon pages of photography with wonder and curiosity. With little formal training in photography, Jim credits this weekly ritual with the development of his discerning eye and his love for photography.
Jim has been blessed with the opportunity to travel around the world he discovered as child in Life magazine. For over 25 years Jim has captured beauty in the world around him both at home and afar. Today his color photographs are shot with Velvia slide film giving them rich tones
Jim’s award winning photography has been featured in one-man shows. His distinguished work is represented in the Permanent Collection of the Museum of Photographic Arts.
