My lifelong passion for travel began in Mexico, where I studied anthropology, and has since taken me all over the world, including Africa, South America and the Middle East.  Immersing myself in ancient and foreign cultures and imagery has had a deep influence on my work as an artist. 

My strong spiritual connection with the colors and textures of nature have a profound influence on my life and my work, from diving the coral reefs of the Red Sea, to exploring the kelp forests of the Pacific Ocean.  These influences have led me to create sculptural pieces, including "totems," college pieces and pottery. 

My work has also included functional art, and I have designed several lines of furniture.  One style reflects a Mediterranean/Californian influence, and the other is informed by the clean lines of mid-century modernism.
