Nigel Cooper & Assoc.
Muralists
have become a rare commodity in the art world of the 20th century.
Nigel Cooper creates colorful murals for restaurants, hotels and residential
spaces. He is able to customize his colors and subject matter for
any setting. Here is an excerpt of a press release of the Ritz -Carlton,
Atlanta after Cooper's completion of a project for a restaurant on its
grounds:
The unique and captivating murals that adorn the walls of Altlanta
Grill have garnered much attention. Food critics, guests and happy-hour
revelers have commented on their intriguing qualities.
Cooper
comments on this particular piece, "The waiters and patrons are interacting
and enjoying the mood. The Foggy glasses don't allow the viewer to
see his or her own reflection, but rather the 'attitude' of the room."
This is a new direction that he is persuing; he is known for the versatility
of his styles.
Cooper says he paints scenes that capture a range of emotions, from
satirical glances to pleasant surprises. In this piece in particular
(the Atlanta Grill mural), his tuxedo-clad servers convey a sense of elegant
hospitality; the rich colors and warm hues express a welcome familiarity
and complement to the decor. . . .
Mr.
Cooper's work can also currently be seen in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel
Casino, the Bellagio Hotel Casino and Ceasar's Palace Hotel Casino.
He has also done work for the 2001 Disneyland expansion project, and the
Universal City Walk's "Asia Restaurant."
